FFOREST FEST
1st Saturday in June.
fForest Fest is a music festival that TN produces in Morris. It includes a large vendor market. All vendors are invited to participate. This is a busy event and is also a busy few weeks (before & after) for the store staff. More info: www.fforestfest.com

KINDLING MARKET
May thru October
Kindling takes place in the TN parking lot. Vendors are invited to participate. This is a juried market and is not produced by TN. It tends to draw shoppers to the store. Restock before and after the event. You are invited to participate. More: www.shoptruenorth.com/kindling

3 FRENCH HENS
2nd Saturday, May thru November.
“Hens” as we call it, is a market in Morris that brings traffic to the store. You will want to restock the week before, then return to straighten and refill after. This tends to be one of the busiest days of the month. This is not a TN event. No restocking on event days. More >

REPORTS
Reports go out monthly by the 10th.
You will receive a link when you move in. Save this link. When reports are ready, you will receive an email. The report will list all items sold, how much, and what day. There are tabs along bottom for each month. Descriptions are typed at the time of sale.

VENDOR CHECKS
By the 10th of the month.
TN takes out the next month’s rent and commission, then issues you a check for the difference. We suggest all vendors sign up for direct deposit on the first page. Otherwise we will mail an e-check. If you owe rent, you will receive a PayPal invoice. Must be paid by the last day of the month to avoid 10% late fee.

DISCREPENCIES
Erik handles report questions.
If you have a problem with your report or have an item that is not yours listed on your report, send an email. TN Staff does not have access to reports. Please check previous months sales for missing items. You may have sold the item in the current month too. It may be in lost & found. Check all three before contacting Erik. It can take Erik up to a month to investigate report discrepancies.

LAND OF UNTAGGED ITEMS
It’s a lonely place for cool merch.
If the staff finds any untagged items, broken items, missing pieces, or items not allowed – the item will be placed in the Land of Untagged Items. Please check this area on a regular basis. Items will be donated on the first of each month to make room for more.

NO TAGS
No tags. No vendor credit.
With so many vendors, it is impossible for staff to know who each item belongs to, especially without tags. Please tag items at home. If an item is brought to the register without a tag, it will be sold under Vendor 0 (our marketing account). If you are missing an item, email TN. It may be on Vendor 0’s report. If so, you will be issued a credit on your next sales report.

GOODWILL TAGS
Check your items thoroughly.
If a customer brings an item up to the register with a Goodwill, garage sale tag, or any other tag – the lowest tagged price will be honored, no matter what your vendor tag says. The easiest way to avoid this is to remove all Goodwill tags.

HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE
First Sunday in November.
Booths should be decorated between Halloween and the holiday open house (1st Sunday in November). You may stay after hours to changeover your space. Don’t stress. Lights and a bit of greenery add holiday cheer. Décor sells in Nov. Gift items in Dec. Vintage, clothing, and handmade sells all months.

MOVING OUT
Please send a 30 day email.
We understand circumstances may change and you may decide not to “play store” at TN. No hard feelings. Please give a 30 day notice, via email, so we have time to fill your space. Should things change in the future, you can always reapply.

SALES / DISCOUNTS
TN does NOT allow sales.
Vendors are not allowed to have booth sales, discounts, or promotions. To mark an item down, change the tag. Do not cross out the price. Do not offer shoppers a “deal.” Sales must go through the register. TN may offer 10% off items over $20, not marked firm.

ONLINE SALES
Selling your items online.
If someone reaches out about buying an item online featured in your booth at True North, direct them to call the store for pricing and availability. Do not give them a discounted price. It’s not fair to our shoppers and confusing for our staff.

ORDERS ARE GREAT
Handle them privately.
TN does not facilitate custom orders. You are welcome to put biz cards in your space. We won’t give out your contact info, only direct customers to your social media page. We can not hold customized items to be picked up by customers or other vendors.

HOLDS
Only for 48 hours.
Customers can put an item on hold for two days to coordinate pickup, measure the space, etc. If you see an expired hold tag in your booth, simply take it off and hand to the TN staff. We often get customers calling about items YOU post on TN Fan Club, asking to put the item on hold until they can get to TN.
